An ophthalmologic photographing apparatus is disclosed which is capable of photographing a predetermined area of a subject's eye. The apparatus includes a light projecting unit (17) configured to project visible light to a subject's eye, a detection unit (25) configured to measure a pupil diameter, which is caused by the light projecting unit, and a control unit (32) configured to determine the amount of change in diameter and to control a photographing operation based on the amount of change determined by the control unit. |
