PURPOSE: An information transmitting and receiving method and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve the accessibility between the devices for sharing the information. CONSTITUTION: A processor (240) executes an external device link application. The processor controls a communication unit to be automatically connected to the external device. The processor receives the summarized information about the information which is stored in the connected external device from the external device. The processor displays the received summarized information through a user interface unit. The processor receives the selected information from the external device through the communication unit, based on the displayed summarized information.
