PURPOSE: A method for renewing files of a vessel design program is provided to reduce man hour caused by renewal work by installing a converting program in an auto CAD program, renewing drawing files in the vessel design program through the CAD program, and storing the same as the files of the vessel design program. CONSTITUTION: A converting program is installed in an auto CAD program and the registration of a tool bar for executing the converting program is confirmed. A user executes a vessel design program to select a file to be renewed and executes the file for executing a CAD renewal item. The user calls a renewal file converted into a DXF(Drawing Exchange Format) file modified on the CAD program. The user modifies the DXF file to be matched with a construction spec. The vessel design program automatically renews a processing file same as the DXF file.
