The device has a frame (REP1) including a hitch for connection to a road marking vehicle (REP2), and a movable plate (REP3) on which a cone is moved vertically, where the plate is mounted on rods of a deformable parallelogram. A roller system (REP5) is mounted to be rotated on a rotation axis for guiding the cone to a floor of a road. A centering and tilting system lifts the base of the cone to allow the plate to slide the under the base of the cone for recovering the cone from the floor at zero velocity of the marking vehicle.
