<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of efficiently exchanging heat between two flat pipes for exchanging heat. <P>SOLUTION: An economizer heat exchanger 7 for exchanging heat between two fluids includes first flat pipes 74 and second flat pipes 75 for passing the two fluid respectively, and also includes a header 71. Ends 76c of the first flat pipes 74 and ends 77c of the second flat pipes 75 are connected to the header 71, respectively. The first flat pipes 74 and the second flat pipes 75 each have neighboring parts 76b, 77b near the end parts 76c, 77c and bonded faces 76w, 77w. The bonded faces 76w, 77w are parts excepting the end parts 76c, 77c and the neighboring parts 76b, 77b and are faces facing the other flat pipes.
