The assembly (2) has a damping element (8) attached with a carbon brush (4), which is adjustably held in a brush holder (3) and force impacted against an armature-side collector (5) by a spring element (7), which is designed as a spiral spring or helical spring. The damping element exhibits an attenuation rate, which depends on radial deviation of the armature-side collector of a circular shape. A factor is defined for determination of the attenuation rate and determined as a proportional value of static contact pressure. The factor lies between one percentage and five percentages.
