<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device smoothly conveying a developer at a communication part between two conveyance paths by improving a flow property of the developer in a conveyance path, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the same. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 14 includes a first stirring member 23 and a second stirring member 24. Each of the first and second stirring members 23 and 24 includes: a screw 33 formed by forming a hollow part 33b in a spiral part 33a that is spirally formed by extending in the longitudinal direction in a first or second conveyance path 22c or 22d; and a plurality of ribs 34 formed between spiral parts 33a facing each other in the longitudinal direction of the screw 33.
