<p>Supplying power to a resistance welding apparatus, comprises supplying welding current to a first and second welding electrode (5a), controlling a synchronous rectifier by semiconductor switching elements using a control device such that the semiconductor switching elements located in the rectifier branches remain switched on together during a polarity change of a primary winding (4a). The resistance welding apparatus comprises: a welding transformer, which has a first and a second mutually coupled secondary winding (4b) and a primary winding; and a synchronous rectifier. Supplying power to a resistance welding apparatus, comprises supplying welding current to a first and second welding electrode (5a), controlling a synchronous rectifier by semiconductor switching elements using a control device such that the semiconductor switching elements located in the rectifier branches remain switched on together during a polarity change of a primary winding (4a). The resistance welding apparatus comprises: a welding transformer, which has a first and a second mutually coupled secondary winding (4b) and a primary winding; and a synchronous rectifier having a first branch rectifier and a second branch rectifier, which are respectively connected by first and second secondary winding. An independent claim is also included for a resistance welding apparatus comprising a welding transformer, and a synchronous rectifier, where the rectifier branches can be controlled respectively by the first and the second secondary winding, and a control device is provided for performing above mentioned operation.</p> |
