METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT OF CONTACT WIRE WEAR (WIRES OF CATENARY SYSTEM)

FIELD: electrical engineering.SUBSTANCE: method for automatic measurement of wear in wires of electric railway catenary system involves lighting of wires by two laser fan-shaped units, which directional patterns are brought into parallel planes located symmetrically at both sides of optical axis of receiving TV camera. Then intersection lines of wire surface and planes of fan-shaped beams are fixed by the TV chamber and degree of contact wire wear is calculated against shape of intersection lines. Diffusive component of the reflected signal is used in order to receive image; at that receiving TV equipment is located at a separate measurement slide of pantograph.EFFECT: improvement of accuracy and reliability for measurement of contact wire wear.5 cl, 5 dwg
