PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for sewer overflows treatment are provided to reduce maintenance cost and installation cost of control system and to separate sewer overflows with high concentration. CONSTITUTION: A sewer overflows comprises a center branched water channel(210); high concentration sewer overflows tank(220); low concentration sewer overflows tank; phosphorous filter tank(251); and a coagulant mixing pipe(242). The center branched water channel mixes coagulant and sewer overflows of high concentration to form a flock with high concentration in the sewer overflows of high concentration; a gravel layer(253), filter for absorbing and removing phosphorous in the treated water in the sewer overflows of low concentration, and filter for removing suspended pollutant material except for phosphorous are laminated in the phosphorous filter tank.
