Inspection of a test object (1) is intended to be carried out for a tester in a simpler, faster and more reliable manner than in the prior art. Local test results (9) associated with a relative position between the test tool (3) and the test object (1) are projected in real time onto a relevant local subregion of the test object (1) to be tested. In this manner, a tester can immediately evaluate the local subregion to be tested.
