The invention relates to a method for determining a reading speed of a section of an electronic content comprising at least one section consisting of words, the method comprising the steps of :
- a reading speed and a words count of at least a first section of the electronic content being already known, determining a time for reading the first section, called first reading time,
- calculating a difference, called time difference, between a time for reading the whole electronic content and at least the first reading time,
- determining a reading speed for a second section of the electronic content by dividing a words count for the second section by the time difference.
