A computing device, such as servers 14, includes a wireless communication device 20 to receive keyboard or mouse input from and transmit video output from the computing device to a wireless-enabled device 22. The wireless enabled device may be a mobile KVM device for wireless KVM such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer. The wireless enabled device may access any of the servers according to a security clearance, access level or negotiated access rights. These access rights may provide for either read-only access (where only video output can be received) or full control of the computing device. The user of the wireless enabled device may send a shutdown command to the computing device.
