<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of improving general habitability including easiness of storing articles and formation of a comfortable indoor environment or the like while securing a free traffic line inside the building. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate floor 3 is provided on an upper part of the central vicinity of a floor 2, a part between the intermediate floor 3 and the floor 2 is turned to a storage room 10 of a low ceiling height, and an intermediate room 11 is provided on the intermediate floor 3. Around the storage room 10 and the intermediate room 11 that are piled up vertically, a plurality of rooms 12-19 are provided adjacently in a direction of circling around the storage room 10 and the intermediate room 11, and the plurality of rooms 12-19 respectively have doorways 21-28 provided between the adjacent rooms 12-19. The storage room 10 has doorways 10a-10d provided between the storage room 10 and at least the rooms positioned on four sides of the storage room 10 among the plurality of rooms 12-19.
