PURPOSE: A device and method for adjusting a white balance are provided to automatically adjust the white balance of a liquid crystal display (LCD) inserted into a cluster, thereby outputting a color sense by LCD at an identical level. CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting a white balance includes a color coordinate measuring device (101), a memory (102), a comparator (103), an adjustor (104), and a read only memory (ROM) writer (105). The color coordinate measuring device measures the color coordinate of a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen in a cluster. The memory stores the information of a referential color coordinate. The comparator compares the color coordinate and the referential color coordinate, and then computes a calibration value for the white balance. The adjustor adjusts the white balance of the LCD using the calibration value. The ROM writer stores the value of the adjusted white balance in an internal memory.
