PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling the lamp of a cluster for a vehicle are provided to distinguish the lamp by day and night in order to differently control the brightness of the lamp by part, thereby facilitating a safe driving. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the lamp of a cluster for a vehicle includes a key input part (10), a brightness input part (20), a control part (30), a lamp part (60), and a storage part (70). The key input part inputs a lamp setting mode. The brightness input part distinguishes the brightness setting value of a lamp element by day and night, and then respectively inputs the distinguished values. The control part outputs a lamp control signal generated according to the value. The lamp part allows the lamp part to emit a light according to the signal output from the control part. The storage part stores the value of each element.
