<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS terminal capable of shortening positioning operation time of the terminal, and capable of reducing power consumption of the terminal, and to provide a GPS system. <P>SOLUTION: A GPS terminal 1 includes: a GPS signal receiving unit 3; a synchronous detection time calculation unit 4; and a storage unit 6. The GPS signal receiving unit 3 synchronously detects GPS signals transmitted from GPS satellites sk, and outputs a synchronization detection signal indicating that the GPS signals are synchronously detected and a phase control amount at the time when the GPS signals were synchronously detected. The synchronous detection time calculation unit 4 detection time inputs and measures the synchronization detection signal, and calculates measurement time of the synchronization detection signal as the synchronization detection time.
