<p>The objective of the present invention is to enable rolling elements to be inserted into the circulation path of a guide device in a short time even when the rolling elements have been precompressed. Rolling element insertion holes (4) are provided in a slider main body (21). The rolling element insertion holes (4) open at a location which overlaps a return passage (212a) of a member attachment surface (216), and extend in the lengthwise direction of leg parts (21A), reaching a location at which the cross section of the return passage (212a) is divided into two parts. The aperture of the rolling element insertion holes (4) has a long-hole shape such that the size in the direction in which the rolling elements move in the return passage (212a) is larger than the size in the width direction. Therefore, when balls (3) are introduced from the rolling element insertion holes (4), an open space which can be seen from the aperture of the rolling element insertion holes (4) exists for an inserted ball (3a) within the return passage (212a) in the direction in which the rolling elements move. A rod-shaped tool (6) is inserted into this space, and the ball (3a) is pushed in the direction in which the rolling elements move in the return passage (212a).</p> |
