<p>Separating cells from a cell suspension by marking target cells in the cell suspension using functionalized magnetic beads and separating, comprises (a) immersing a two-fluid sensor (1) in a container (2) having suspended functionalized magnetic beads, (b) transporting the mixture through an incubation conductor (3), (c) supplying a buffer solution to the mixture, and (d) further transporting the target cells marked with magnetic beads, which are present in a main channel, into a first branch (5.1) of the main channel in a microchannel network (4) under the action of a moving magnetic field. Separating cells from a cell suspension by marking target cells in the cell suspension using functionalized magnetic beads and separating, comprises (a) immersing a two-fluid sensor (1) in a container (2) having suspended functionalized magnetic beads, where the cell suspension is supplied into an outer tube (1.1) of the two-fluid sensor, and a cell suspension-magnetic bead-mixture is sucked through an inner tube, (b) transporting the mixture by an incubation conductor (3), where incubation of the magnetic beads with the target cells takes place, (c) supplying a buffer solution to the mixture, and (d) further transporting the target cells marked with magnetic beads, which are present in a main channel, into a first branch (5.1) of the main channel in a microchannel network (4) under the action of a moving magnetic field, where unmarked cells are transported to an outlet of the microchannel network, or (e) immersing the two-fluid sensor in the container having cell suspension, where suspended functionalized magnetic beads are supplied by an outer tube of the two-fluid sensor, and the cell suspension-magnetic bead-mixture is sucked through an inner tube of the two-fluid sensor, (b), (c), and (d). An independent claim is also included for an assembly for performing the above method for separating cells from cell suspension, preferably blood cells, comprising the two-fluid sensor, the incubation conductor, the microchannel network having main channel with an inlet for cell suspension provided with magnetic beads, an outlet for target cells marked with magnetic beads, and several branches, which connects the main channel with the several inlets and outlets for supplying buffer solutions and for deriving non-labeled cells, and a movable magnet assembly.</p> |
