<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The library device includes: a collecting unit 10 for collecting, from plural processing units 150, 170, state information of each drive unit processed in each of the processing units 150, 170; a drive usage number predicting unit 11 for predicting a number of drive units in use after a predetermined time, based on the collected state information of each drive unit in the processing units 150, 170; a processing unit number predicting unit 12 for predicting a number of the processing units 150, 170 in demand after a predetermined time, based on restricting information 15, 17 that indicate the number of the drive units to be controlled by the processing units 150, 170 and the number of the drive units that has been predicted; and a controlling unit 13 for controlling supply of electric power to the processing units 150, 170, based on the predicted number of the processing units 150, 170 in demand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
