摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device which can obtain a large detection voltage, and further hardly cause connection failure, and to provide an ultrasonic probe. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transmitting and receiving unit as the piezoelectric device in the ultrasonic probe includes: a thin-wall region 83 of a substrate 8; a piezoelectric member 62; and a plurality of piezoelectric cells 6a to 6d formed of circular diaphragms which are arranged at a back face and a front face of the piezoelectric member 62 respectively and have first electrodes 63 and second electrodes 64. The piezoelectric cells 6a to 6d constitute one single element 66 by four piezoelectric cells. The four piezoelectric cells 6a to 6d have a connection origin and a connection destination which have reverse polarization directions, and are connected in series by connecting the first electrodes 63 with each other and the second electrodes 64 with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
