PURPOSE: A method and a device for improving the efficiency of a pump and compressor are provided to improve the whole efficiency by reducing maximum torque in a compression process. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving the efficiency of a pump and compressor is as follows. A driving shaft of a driving device and a radius of the rotation of a rod linked to a driving shaft become smaller when a piston moves to a bottom dead point to an upper dead point. A position of the driving shaft is different from the center of a crank shaft in order to widen the radius of the rotation of the rod linked to the driving shaft in a compression process. The crank shaft is lined to the driving shaft by a separate rod.
