PURPOSE: A vehicle control system is provided to improve a vehicle control performance and gradually apply brake control to change the velocity. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle control system is provided to control the velocity of a vehicle in a normal driving state. The vehicle control system comprises a velocity detector(10) detecting the driving velocity of the vehicle; a throttle valve switch(20) which opens and closes the throttle valve of the vehicle; a brake control apparatus(30) which controls the operation of the brake in the vehicle; a transmission control apparatus(40) which changes the shift gear of a transmission in the vehicle; and a control part(50) which controls the brake control apparatus and the transmission control apparatus, to gradually operate.
