PURPOSE: A hall sensor a motor malfunction judgment method of a motor is provided to improve reliability by enabling normal operation of a motor in case of a partial malfunction of a hall sensor. CONSTITUTION: A signal value of hall sensors(A,B,C) is monitored(S101) and whether all the signal values of the all hall sensors are detected for a predetermined reference time(T) as 0 or 1 is judged(S102). If the signal value of all the hall sensors is detected as 1, all the hall sensors are judged as malfunction (S103). Unless the signal value of all the hall sensors is detected as 0 or 1, an output value of all hall sensors is judged (S104). Variation of a signal value of the rest two hall sensors while the signal value of the hall sensor selected as the reference changes among 1, 0, 1 after determining one hall sensor in which the signal value of the hall sensor normally varying as a reference is checked. It is determined whether a hall sensor with no variation of the signal value exists (S105). If the hall sensor with no variation of the signal value is detected, the hall sensor is judged as malfunction and emergency operation is performed based on a location of the hall sensor judged as malfunction (S106).
