<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost and space-saved induction heating cooker which detects over boiling. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating cooker comprises electrodes provided on a back surface of a top plate so as to exclude an air space from between the electrodes and the top plate, electrostatic capacitance measurement means for measuring electrostatic capacitance between the electrodes and GND, a control circuit for controlling a drive circuit based on the measurement result obtained by the electrostatic capacitance measurement means and an electrostatic capacitance-type operation section for determining whether an instruction for an operation is issued based on electrostatic capacitance variation between electrodes for the operation section and GND. The electrostatic capacitance measurement means doubles as a part of an electrostatic capacitance measurement circuit in the operation section by using the same micro computer for measurement of electrostatic capacitance of the electrostatic capacitance measurement means and the electrostatic capacitance measurement circuit in the operation section. The electrostatic capacitance measurement means applies a voltage between the electrodes and GND to measure electrostatic capacitance based on variation in the applied voltage. The control circuit determines an occurrence of over boiling when the electrostatic capacitance between the electrodes and GND varies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
