<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that has a long rear-side focal distance. <P>SOLUTION: The zoom lens comprises, in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens group of negative refractive power and a second lens group of positive refractive power, and satisfies the following conditional formula: -1.15<F1/F2<-1.12.
