<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring the degree of arteriosclerosis capable of correctly measuring the compliance of arterial vessel of a living body. <P>SOLUTION: A volume pulse wave calculating section 110 quantifies at least the rising section of a pulse wave generated in a pressing zone 12 into a volume pulse wave MAP1pvr showing a change in volume on a transmural pressure axis of an arterial vessel 16. A vascular compliance calculating section 112 calculates the vascular compliance waveform showing the inclination in at least the rising section of the volume pulse wave MAP1pvr showing the transmural pressure axis on the basis of a PA curve. An index value calculating section 114 calculates the index value ACI as a proportion of a predetermined compliance K40 to the maximum compliance Kmax out of the waveform, the compliance K40 corresponding to a transmural pressure value PT40 different from the transmural pressure value PT15 of a point showing the maximum compliance Kmax of the vascular compliance waveform. Then, the calculating section 114 calculates the volume distortion time constant τc of a leg of pulse wave rise reflecting the viscous elastic characteristic of the blood vessel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
