PURPOSE: A gate valve is provided to prevent the sound of impact by smoothly flowing the fluid using a cone-shaped disc. CONSTITUTION: A gate valve comprises a lower body(1), an upper body(11), and a cone-shaped disc(9). A cone-shaped hole(4) is formed on the lower body. A disc seat(3) is formed on the edge of a pipe(2) connected to the cone-shaped hole. Flanges(5,7) with bolt holes(6,8) are formed on both sides of the pipe and the upper part of the cone-shaped hole. A flange(12) coupled to one of the flange of the lower body by bolts is formed on the bottom of the upper body. A handle is formed on the upper body to vertically move a support shaft(10) by rotating a screw rod(13). The cone-shaped disc is fixed on the bottom of the support shaft. The cone-shaped disc is inclined at the same angle as the cone-shaped hole to block the pipe while surface-contacting to the disc seat of the pipe.
