<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably adjust a printing gap. <P>SOLUTION: A time recorder includes a housing having a platen, a printing unit provided in the housing, and performing printing on a printing object provided on the platen, and a printing gap adjusting part 50a.
