<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which can be moved freely in an arbitrary direction and the S/N of which is improved. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic vibrator 10 which emits and/or receives ultrasonic waves is built in a hollow spherical case 30 having a spherical shape.
