<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency spindle provided with a machine spindle, a tightening release unit and a tightening unit which can shorted or eliminate time for replacing a tool or a tool holding body and an adverse affect to the life of a spindle bearing even if used together with an automatic tightening holding mechanism and a collet chuck. <P>SOLUTION: The tightening unit 2 has an engaging ball 13 as a tightening member. The engaging ball 13 is held by a ball holding body 10 so as to interact with a corresponding ball receiving portion 14 in the tool or the tool holding body 7. The shift of a position and posture of the engaging ball 13 to a radial direction is performed by the shifting of a traction pin 6 receiving a spring force in the shaft direction. The position and posture of the engaging ball 13 are fixed by engagement by meshing and a pressing force in a radial direction of the tool or the tool holding body 7 attached to the high frequency spindle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
