The mechanism has a connecting device (1) for connecting a shifting shaft (13) and a shifting finger (14) of the mechanism. Two parts (4, 5) are connected with the shifting shaft and the shifting finger, respectively. The parts are positively connected with each other by connectors (6, 7). The connectors and the parts elastically act against each other under interposition of a spring element that is formed by elastomer. The connectors comprise a peripheral-side circular groove for retaining the spring element. The connectors are connected with the shifting shaft, an axle or a pin. The spring element is designed as a covering, a casing or a ring.
