PURPOSE: A device for changing damping force is provided to adjust the torque transfer power of a clutch and to change the damping force of a shock absorber since the MR fluid viscosity of a clutch mounted between a vehicle body and a vehicle wheel is adjusted through the intensity of the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: A device for changing damping force comprises a cross member(58), a lower arm(56), a clutch(62) and a movement switch unit(70). The cross member is connected to a vehicle body. The lower arm is installed on the cross member and supports a vehicle wheel. The clutch is installed on the cross member and comprises MR fluid(Magnetorheologic Fluid)(66) of which viscosity varies according to the magnetic field. The movement switch unit connects the lower arm and the clutch. The movement switch unit changes the reciprocating movement of the lower arm to the rotating movement and transfers it to the clutch. |
