<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission efficiency while controlling ware of element. <P>SOLUTION: The belt for continuously variable transmission, in which plate-like elements 3 with slit sections 7 in both sides are laminated and arranged annually, and each of the elements 3 is united by an annular ring 2 inserted through the slit sections 7, wherein: the elements 3 are configured so that it may be rocked in such a manner that a rocking edge 43, arranged in a surface of one side in laminating direction, is made to be a fulcrum when the belt curves in such a manner of arc along a pulley of input side or output side of the continuously variable transmission; on one surface of the element 3, a front surface 42a of contacting section 42 between the slit section 7 and rocking edge 43 is made to be a contacting section between elements 3 adjacent in the lamination direction; in the contacting section, a housing section 80 opening to the adjacent element side is formed; and within the housing section 80, a projecting member 85 projecting from a concave section, when torque transmitted by the belt is smaller than a predetermined value, is arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
