A method for selecting therapeutic approach for the treatment of ureter injury following gynecological surgery comprises the preoperative assessment of location, pattern and time of origin of the injury, intraoperative separation of ureter to injury site, assessment of the viability of the edge of injury site followed by its dissection, and selection of anastomosis type depending on the extent of the dystrophic alterations. Electroureterography is used for the assessment of the viability of the edge of ureter. |
