<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate work for fitting a male spline into a female spline while suppressing the length of a tip of a shaft member protruding from a fitted member after fitting. <P>SOLUTION: A spline fitting structure S includes a shaft 2 in which a male spline 6 is provided on an outer peripheral surface, and an inner joint member 4 of a constant velocity universal joint in which a female spline 7 is provided on an inner peripheral surface, and the male spline 6 can be fitted into the female spline 7. A first chamfered portion 10 is provided at a start end of the shaft 2 where the fitting of the male spline 6 into the female spline 7 starts, and a second chamfered portion 11 is provided at a start end of the inner joint member 4 where the male spline starts to be fitted into the female spline. A chamfering angle θ1 of the chamfered portion 10 is smaller than a chamfering angle θ2 of the second chamfered portion 11 by 10° or larger. Furthermore, the chamfering angle θ1 of the first chamfered portion 10 is set to 15° to 25° and the chamfering angle θ2 of the second chamfered portion 11 is set to 25° to 60°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
