摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a gas diffusion layer and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane to be firmly joined together without causing the solid polymer electrolyte membrane to be damaged by fiber of the gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: An electrolyte membrane and electrode structure 10 comprises an anode electrode 20 and a cathode electrode 22 which together hold a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18 in between. The anode electrode 20 includes an electrode catalyst layer 23a, a ground layer 24a, and a gas diffusion layer 26a. Between an outer peripheral edge 18ae of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18 and the outer peripheral edge of the gas diffusion layer 26a is provided an adhesive layer 28. The adhesive layer 28 includes a first adhesive layer 28a provided on the gas diffusion layer 26a side and a second adhesive layer 28b provided on the solid polymer electrolyte membrane 18 side and having lower viscosity than the first adhesive layer 28a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
