METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VISUALLY DISPLAYING STATUS OF AUDIO SIGNALS

A method and an apparatus for displaying the status of an audio signal are provided to visually output information corresponding to the status of the audio signal on a displayer when outputting the audio signal. Frame type information on a coded audio signal frame and an audio signal frame is inputted. An audio signal is acquired and outputted to a speaker by decoding the audio signal frame by digital/analog modulation. The status of the audio signal is judged by using the frame type information. The visual information corresponding to the status of the audio signal is displayed on a display part when outputting the audio signal.
