The conveyor (1) has a conveying band (2) comprising a set of faces e.g. external face (4), a longitudinal projection and a frame (8). An interior jaw and an exterior jaw are mounted in a movable manner between an open position of the longitudinal projection, and a closed position of the longitudinal projection. The interior jaw and the exterior jaw are arranged at a distance from each other. A drive unit i.e. motorized roller, is arranged along direction parallel to displacement direction of the interior jaw and the exterior jaw for tensioning the conveying band.
