PURPOSE: A solar cell and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent a shunt by inserting an insulator into a through hole after the through hole is formed in a back electrode layer, and to increase an open circuit voltage. CONSTITUTION: A back electrode layer(200) separated by a first through hole(TH1) is formed on a support substrate(100). An insulator(250) is formed to fill the first through hole. A light absorption layer(300) is formed in the upper surface of the insulator and the back electrode layer. A buffer layer(400) is formed in the upper surface of the light absorption layer. A second through hole(TH2) is formed in the light absorption layer and the buffer layer. A window layer(600) is formed to fill the second through hole. |
