<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a light quantity sensor that can be used corresponding to a variety of patch images is mounted while solving a problem of upsizing of the light quantity sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: an intermediate transfer belt 8; an image forming unit that forms a patch image on the intermediate transfer belt 8; a light emitting element 272; a light receiving unit that includes a plurality of light emitting elements 273 that receive reflection light from the patch image when light is projected by the light emitting element 272 on the patch image moved in accordance with movement of the intermediate transfer belt 8; a selection circuit 270 that variably sets the number of the light emitting elements 273 included in the light receiving unit. The selection circuit 270 causes the number of the plurality of light receiving elements when receiving reflection light from a first patch image formed by the image forming unit to be different from the number of the plurality of light receiving elements when receiving reflection light from a second patch image formed by the image forming unit and different from the first patch image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
