摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic signal control system capable of grasping a status such as a failure of a traffic signal controller on a central device without impairing advantages such as economical efficiency of a site-oriented traffic signal controller.

SOLUTION: A traffic signal control system includes a central device 10 to execute traffic control, a site-oriented traffic signal controller 12 connected radio-communicably with the central device 10 and to execute a signal control usually independently from the central device 10. The traffic signal controller 12 includes a status information generating part 302 to generate status information on its own status, and a status information notifying part 303 to notify the central device 10 of the status information.
