ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus in which degradation in an S/N ratio is prevented by adjusting a transmission waveform of each channel thereby eliminating deterioration in a transmission sound field profile or the like.

SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a plurality of arrayed transducers each of which is caused to transmit ultrasonic waves by being applied with a transmission pulse; a transmission pulse generation means; and a control means. The transmission pulse generation means is provided for each transducer and generates transmission pulses by receiving input of drive signals. The control means controls the startup/shutdown time of the transmission pulses. The control means has an adjusting means for controlling the transmission pulses by changing the magnitude of the drive signals.
