<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device which has improved the accuracy of detecting a rainfall state on a function by having the function for detecting a rainfall state in addition to a function for detecting an object located in front. <P>SOLUTION: A raindrop detecting PD 41 is restricted to a region where a detection visual field for receiving reflected light is different from detection visual fields of a first object detecting PD 42 and a second object detecting PD 43 by a visual field restriction member 50. The raindrop detecting PD 41 receives reflected light from raindrops in a raindrop detection region.
