<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform species determination of a bird by using a sample mixedly containing not only DNA of the bird but also that of other organisms. <P>SOLUTION: The species of a bird is determined by: using a primer set for amplification of NADH dehydrogenase subunit 6 gene of bird mitochondria DNA, composed of the combination of a first primer comprising a base sequence complementary to mitochondria proline tRNA and a second primer comprising a base sequence complementary to mitochondria glutamic acid tRNA; specifically amplifying from a sample containing cells of the bird and one or more cells of other than the bird the NADH dehydrogenase subunit 6 gene of bird mitochondria DNA; and then is determined from the sequence of the gene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
