PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to have biaxial optical films, thereby improving a viewing angle feature. CONSTITUTION: A negative biaxial film(244) is included between a liquid crystal panel(201) and the second polarizing plate(260) to change a polarization state of light. In the negative biaxial film, a horizontal phase difference value is Re=240~300nm and a thickness direction phase difference value is Rth=350~550nm. A positive biaxial film(246) is included between the negative biaxial film and the second polarization film to change a polarization state of light. In the positive biaxial film, a horizontal phase difference value is Re=240~300nm and a thickness direction phase difference value is Rth=350~550nm. |
