PURPOSE: An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery is provided to prevent precipitation of lithium dendrite with high reactivity, to improve electrochemical decomposition performance and safety when the battery is overcharged. CONSTITUTION: An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprises nonaqueous organic solvent, lithium salt, and compounds represented by chemical formula 1, 2, and 3. In the chemical formulas, X^- is PF6^-, ClO4^-, AsF6^-, or BF4^-; and n is an integer from 1-15. The lithium secondary battery comprises the electrolyte; a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material capable of reversibly intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions; and a negative electrode which can reversibly intercalating and deintercalating lithium ions. |
