PURPOSE: A DID(Digital Information Display) system and an operation method are provided to generate and transmit a video file which is divided into a predetermined time unit, thereby reproducing DID content in a DID client by using only a video file reproduction function. CONSTITUTION: A DID content generation unit receives a lot of media content(S400). The DID content generation unit reproduces a lot of media content and generates a video file which is divided into a predetermined time unit(S405). The DID content generation unit generates an index file which includes reproduction order of the video file and changed file information(S410). The DID content generation unit transmits the video file and the index file to first to Nth DID clients through a DID server(S415).
