<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress toner stains from attaching to a heating rotating member and suppress charge-up on a pressure rotating member in an image forming apparatus that applies a bias voltage to the heating rotating member or the pressure rotating member for suppressing fixing offset or fixing tailing. <P>SOLUTION: As a timing that a DC bias voltage is applied to one of a heating rotating member and a pressure rotating member of a fixing unit, the DC bias voltage is turned on at a predetermined timing after a leading edge of a recording material P on the same side in a recording material conveyance direction has entered a nip part formed by the heating rotating member and the pressure rotating member; and the DC bias voltage is turned off at a predetermined timing immediately before a rear edge of the recording material on the opposite side in the recording material conveyance direction is ejected from the nip part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
