<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool that can stabilize the quality of the machining of a workpiece mainly formed of a difficult-to-machine material at a level of high quality and prevent the occurrence of a fire, and in addition, that is practical, and has no limit to the shape of a workpiece, and also can perform low frequency vibration cutting at a level of vibration most suitable for the rotation speed of the workpiece or the rotation speed of a cutting tool to segment swarf into fine pieces. <P>SOLUTION: The machine tool includes: a cutting work delivery mechanism 7 for holding the cutting tool 4 for machining a workpiece, and delivering the cutting tool 4 to the workpiece 2; and a control device 8 for applying low-frequency vibration to the cutting tool 4 by controlling a cutting tool delivery drive motor 7a that is a power supply for the cutting tool delivery mechanism 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
